HOW TO TRULY UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE

 

The Holy Bible has been scrutinized and studied by some of the most brilliant minds in the world, many of them expert in both ecclesiastical and archeological history and tradition.  Yet these men have failed to obtain any real understanding of the book.

The Holy Bible is like a HUGE ONION with many layers.  To truly understand the deeper layers of the book, the reader must possess the HOLY SPIRIT.  Even to understand the first layers, the reader must have a completely OPEN AND WILLING MIND.   This does not mean a brilliant mind, or even a highly educated mind, it simply means the type of mind which is WILLING to listen, even when they don’t believe, willing to ‘see’ a point of view which is different from their own.  A person who is ‘set’ in their mind, even if they believe themselves to be deeply religious, or ‘converted’ will be completely at a loss to understand the Holy Bible IF THEY TRY TO FIT THEIR OWN OPINIONS INTO THE WORDS OF THE BOOK.

Having said that though, it is also not only possible, but PROBABLE, that they will be able to read certain passages and words in the book which appear to IRREFUTABLY SUPPORT THEIR OWN IDEAS.   Like a MAGIC MIRROR, it will show you what you want to see.   It is ONLY when you make up your mind to absolutely give your own opinions away and search the book diligently for the truth, that you begin to get through the top layer, then the next layer and so on.

Have you read where Christ said to ‘deny yourself’?. No doubt you have an opinion on what He meant by that comment.  Look in the Bible at all the following passages in both the Old AND New Testaments to see what He really means.

Were you of the opinion that the Old Testament was ‘done away’ and  ONLY the New Testament is relevant to Christians?    Again, look in the Bible to see just how many times Christ quotes from the Old Testament in order to show what is in OUR FUTURE.

WHAT HAPPENS TO SINNERS WHEN THEY DIE

IS THERE A PLACE OF ETERNAL TORMENT?

HOW CIVILIZATION WILL END

WHEN IT WILL END

WHAT COMES AFTER THAT?

In a nutshell, Satan the devil was once one of only three archangels mentioned in the Bible.  These three archangels wings covered God’s throne.  Lucifer decided to rebel against God and lead his one third of the angels in a fight to take over God’s kingdom.  (the bible does not specify that this battle between God and Satan caused the destruction of the earth the first time and the desmise of all living creatures including the dinosaurs,  but Job 30 describes satan the devil as a huge dragon (dinosaur) with scales, a huge tail etc. In Luke satan told Christ that he (satan the devil) had been given the entire earth and everything in it. Genesis 1:1 says that God ‘created’ the earth, meaning it was finished, complete, in perfect order.  The second verse says that the earth ‘became’ void, ruined, chaos and water covered the earth.
