ORIGINAL SIN 

The Holy Bible clearly states that ‘no man can serve two masters’ (Matthew 6:24) either you believe and follow God or you follow Satan’s lie by CHOOSING FOR YOURSELF what is good and what is evil. The bible is very specific when it says there is ONE God only, and Jesus Christ is the son of God, NO MAN is on the same level as Christ or has the power and authority to decide what is good and what is evil.

To do so IS Original Sin!

Many Christians today believe that the Old Testament writings are no longer applicable in this modern world, that only the New Testament is necessary to learn the message taught by Jesus Christ.  According to God’s word, nothing could be further from the truth!

Jesus Christ is called ‘the second Adam’ referring to the Adam of the Garden of Eden.   The opportunities for the whole of humanity were the same in the garden of Eden when the first civilized human was created as they are now since Christ died for us.   But for 4000 years prior to Christ’s death, the same opportunities were lost to all mankind.   How and why?   To find the answer, read about the very beginning of the creation of civilized man.

Genesis 1:1 God created the heavens and the earth.     To ‘create’ means FINISHED, COMPLETE and perfect, however something happened between verse 1 and verse 2 of Genesis, which caused the earth to become ‘an indistinguishable ruin’, the earth was totally destroyed, along with all life on it, including the dinosaurs.

Genesis 1:2 the earth “became” without form and void and darkness was on the face of the deep.  The earth became a DESTROYED, FORMLESS WASTELAND, CHAOS, no longer a ‘created’ thing.

Genesis 1:27-31   After God RE-CREATED the earth, God created man and woman (Adam and Eve) and blessed them and told them to go and multiply and REPLENISH (replenish means ‘fill up again’) the earth.  God gave them dominion over all living things.  God gave all green trees and growing things for them to eat.   Did you notice? NO growing thing was poisonous or dangerous for them to eat in the garden of Eden, but unlike later, in other books of the bible, animal flesh was not on the menu.  Originally though, in the garden of Eden, God tells us that even the animals and fowls of the air eat green herbs and growing things.

In many parts of the Old Testament, God shows us what it will be like on the earth after the six thousand years of the kingdoms of men has ended, when God’s Kingdom is set up and Christ rules over the earth as King.  Isa.11:6-8 the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the lion and the sheep together and a little child will lead them.  The cow and the bear shall feed together and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.  Once again, as it was in the Garden of Eden, every living creature will be vegetarian.  

Genesis 2:1-9  Here God is telling the man and woman He had just created, what His plan was for humankind.  God had re-created the earth, Genesis  3:2,3  on the 7^th day God rested and blessed the 7^th day. 

Genesis 2:8,9 God created a garden and in the midst of it God made two trees to grow, the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.    

Genesis 2:16,17 God told Adam and Eve they could eat of every tree of the garden except the tree of knowledge of good and evil, “for in the day you eat of that tree you will surely die”. HERE GOD WAS SPEAKING OF SPIRITUAL DEATH, FROM THE DAY THEY CHOSE OF THE FRUIT OF KNOWING (DECIDING) GOOD AND EVIL, THEY WOULD NOT HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BECOME IMMORTAL SOULS.

Genesis 3:3-11 Eve told the serpent that God had told them they must not eat of that tree or even touch it or we will die. But Eve DID eat of the fruit of knowledge of good and evil, and gave it to her husband and he ate of it also. (FROM THAT DAY ONWARD THEY AND ALL HUMANITY BECAME ‘MORTAL’ BEINGS, ETERNAL DEATH WAS THE INHERITANCE OF MANKIND).  

After eating of the ‘fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil” both Adam and Eve DECIDEDFOR THEMSELVES that being naked was evil so they made themselves a covering and when the Lord came to speak with them as He had obviously done in the past, they hid themselves, prompting Him to ask who told you that you were naked, have you eaten of the tree I told you not to eat of? 

How clear is this message?  Before the man and woman ate of the tree, God spoke with them while they were naked and neither they nor God saw anything wrong.  AFTER eating from the tree of deciding what is good and what is evil, MAN DECIDED nakedness was evil.  IT WAS MANKIND DECIDING WHAT IS GOOD OR WHAT IS EVIL THAT IS THE SIN, NOT THE NAKEDNESS! 

God had fully instructed the man and woman in what was good and evil, what God said to do was good for them and good for the entire earth, what God told them was evil would bring pain, suffering and sorrow. 

All they had to do was BELIEVE AND TRUST IN GOD AND OBEY HIS INSTRUCTIONS.  God was the only father they had known, everything He had given was for their own good, yet THEY PREFERRED TO TRUST IN THEIR OWN UNDERSTANDING.  Their own understanding was infected by the father of lies, the devil whose deceptive veil is over this earth, they had fallen into his trap because they had not been determined to follow God, rather than their own reasoning.

Because of their SIN of disobeying God and following their own inclination, the Lord told them the whole earth would now be cursed, HUMANITY would be under a curse. Verse 19 NOW WHEN THEIR MORTAL LIVES WERE ENDED, INSTEAD OF BECOMING IMMORTAL SONS OF GOD, THEY WOULD TURN BACK TO THE DUST FROM WHICH THEY WERE MADE.  

Because they wanted to be like God and decide for themselves what is good and what is evil, they became of the same mind as the devil, who had previously felt the same way. 

(Because Lucifer, one of the immortal sons of God, had rebelled against God and desired to choose for himself what is right or wrong, God has created human mortal children.  THIS IS THE REASON MANKIND WAS CREATED.   These mortal children of God of their own free will, choose to follow God, rather than decide for themselves what is right or wrong  and by doing so will be given immortality at the time of Christ’s return to earth.  Unlike the devil who will live forever in torment, because he was immortal when he sinned; human sinners will die and not become immortal in the first place.  HUMANS DO NOT HAVE AN IMMORTAL SOUL!  Humans who choose to follow God rather than their own opinions will be given immortality and they will BECOME IMMORTAL CHILDREN OF GOD in the fullness of time.

 Adam and Eve, the first mortal civilized humans disobeyed God’s specific instruction and by doing so, they had cut themselves off from GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT which is HOW we become IMMORTAL Verse 22  “now in case they reach out and take from the Tree of Life and LIVE FOREVER” Verse 24, God sent the man and woman from the garden and put a flaming sword there to protect the TREE OF LIFE. (Immortality) 

The first three chapters of Genesis tell us that God created a beautiful place for humanity to live.  God had given mankind the opportunity to become immortal spirits by obeying Him and receiving the Holy Spirit (fruit of the tree of Life) to link with the spirit of man in us.   Mankind would multiply on the earth, all the while resisting the temptations of Satan by choosing to go to God for every decision, not use our own reasoning, God set a time limit on mankind’s struggle to resist the devil.    For six thousand years or six ‘days, ’each ‘day’ would consist of one thousand years, mankind would strive to resist their own vanity, put down their own opinions (self) and trust and depend on God only.   II Peter 3:8 One day is one thousand years with God. 

God’s plan is that at the end of six thousand years, the earth is filled with potential ‘sons of God’, those men and women who have given up their own opinions in order to follow the will of God.   During the six thousand years of Kingdoms of Men, the whole earth is under the veil of Satan.  The result is war, suffering disease and sorrow.  Revelation 4:7 After six thousand years, Satan is banished, CHRIST WILL RETURN TO SET UP God’s Kingdom and the earth will be a very different place.

The seventh ‘Day’ is the seven thousandth year on earth.  The one thousand year ‘day’of God’s Kingdom, set up on earth with Christ reigning over humanity as King.  Those who deny themselves and give over their lives to God will be changed to immortal spirit beings at the time of Christ’s second coming. (the firstfruits)  The remainder of humanity will live on earth, under Christ’s rule, in obedience to God’s laws, for one thousand years.  This one thousand year ‘day’ is God’s Sabbath Day of Rest.  Those nations or people who choose not to obey God’s laws AT THIS TIME will be punished by Christ Himself!  No rain will fall on the disobedient, plagues will be on them instead.   In God’s Kingdom no one will ask “how can God allow such suffering? Why are children sick or maimed?, there will be no tears, no sadness, no poverty, no war, nothing will hurt or destroy in God’s Kingdom.

All the pain, suffering and troubles of human civilization for the last six thousand years was brought about by the actions of the first two humans in the Garden of Eden.   It was there that the very first of God’s created children, listened to the devil, disobeyed God and by following their own reasoning, did the very thing God had warned them would bring about their eternal death.   THEY CHOSE THEIR OWN DECISION OVER AND ABOVE GOD’S INSTRUCTION.   FROM THAT DAY, DEATH REIGNED OVER ALL HUMANITY. 

THE FIRST (ORIGINAL) SIN OF HUMANITY.

But it was not the first sin ever committed.  That sin (the true original sin) was committed by one of the three archangels in heaven.  

Only three archangels are mentioned in the bible, three whose wings made an ‘arch’ over God’s throne, also known as ‘covering cherubs’; Michael the warrior archangel, Gabriel the messenger archangel and the third archangel whose name was Lucifer (before he sinned and was re named the devil). 

O Lucifer son of the morning, full of beauty and wisdom until iniquity was found in you (original sin).  And what was the sin?   It was rebellion against God, believing that he (Lucifer) was able choose for himself, what was good and what was evil without reference to God the creator.

Interesting that when God chose a nation for himself and told them to make a golden ark to place his laws inside, He instructed them to make on the top, a golden throne and TWO golden archangels whose wings covered the throne.  No longer are there three archangels in heaven.

No doubt there was a battle when Satan decided to take over God’s throne, and if that battle involved the planet earth at the time when Dinosaurs walked down here, it would certainly explain why the planet that was once ‘created and complete’ became an ‘indistinguishable ruin’.  It is also interesting that Satan the devil is afterward described as a ‘huge red DRAGON’.   Job 30 describes him as being terrifying to look at, so much so that a brave soldier wets his pants at the sight of him.  Scales so tight together that a spear cannot penetrate, a huge tail, fierce teeth, much more frightening than the ‘snake’ or small serpent usually used to depict Satan.

Another reason why we might ponder that this planet earth was involved, is told in Luke when Christ was being tempted as the second ‘Adam’ to resist God and follow his own reasoning, the devil took Him to a high mountain and showed Christ in a moment in time ALL OF THE LEADING EMPIRES OF THE WORLD.   This does not necessarily mean Empires which were in place AT THAT TIME, but Empires which have reigned over the earth during the whole history of humanity.  The devil told Christ ALL THESE (EMPIRES) ARE MINE, THEY HAVE BEEN GIVEN TO ME.

Compare this with the book of Daniel, written six hundred years before Christ.  In Daniel  God showed Daniel the meaning of the dream of Nebuchadnezzar the King of Babylon.   The huge statue with the head of gold which represented the Empire of Babylon, during the time of Daniel.   The second empire of silver which represented the kingdom of Darius the Mede and Cyrus of Persia, the third empire of Alexander the Great who led a Greek army, followed by the Empire of iron which was the First Roman Empire which  still existed at the time of Christ.   God knows which Empires of men will rise to power before they do so, and Satan in Luke   was telling Christ that he (the devil) was in charge of all of them.

Remember, God has given mankind six thousand years to CHOOSE for themselves whether they will deny ‘self’ and follow God with their whole heart, OR deny God and follow their own inclinations and feelings.

Satan the devil does not allow ‘choice’.  The devil has a veil over humanity to deceive and trick us, and the religions that follow Satan behave with the same mind as the devil, they lie, trick and deceive and if that fails, they use force to ‘bring people to god’.   The worry is which god?   The Holy Bible says that Satan is a liar and the father of liars. 

Matthew 24 warns that even the very elect (those who know God’s word, the Holy Bible) can be deceived if they are not careful.  How to be really careful?  Get to know the word of God, the Holy Bible!

Don’t let other men give you their version, thoughts, interpretation etc.  Take responsibility for yourself, study God’s word diligently!   Do not be put off by the fact that many learned scholars, professors and wise men cannot understand the word of God, He tells us that this is the case.  The bible is a ‘spiritual’ book and cannot be understood by a ‘carnal’ minded person, no matter how intelligent or educated that person may be.  The ONLY way anyone can understand God’s word is to SEEK it with your whole heart, diligently read it with your mind open to God (not with the reservation of your own prejudices or beliefs) and ASK for God to give you His Holy Spirit to help you understand what you read.  Lastly, you MUST BELIEVE AND TRUST IN GOD, that He will show you what He wants.  The knowledge and understanding does not come all at once, it does not come suddenly over a short period of time.   God wants to know that we really do seek Him fervently and with diligence, not just on a short lived whim, how can we know that we are prepared to die for His laws, if we aren’t prepared to live for His laws?    Why would we desire to live for eternity under God’s laws, if we prefer to use our own judgement regarding which laws to keep or not to keep?

ORIGINAL SIN BEGAN WITH SATAN THE DEVIL.   ADAM AND EVE WERE THE FIRST HUMANS TO FOLLOW SATAN’S LEAD AND CHOOSE ‘SELF’ BEFORE GOD! 

CHRIST DIED AS A SACRIFICE TO GIVE ALL OF US THE SAME ADVANTAGE THAT ADAM AND EVE HAD, WE NOW HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHOOSE FOR OUSELVES, JUST AS THEY DID, WILL WE CHOOSE THE TREE OF LIFE (GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT) OR WILL WE LIKE ADAM AND EVE, (AND LIKE SATAN BEFORE THEM) CHOOSE TO DECIDE FOR OURSELVES WHAT IS GOOD AND WHAT IS EVIL)?
