| | | 38.he said “why are you troubled & why do thoughts arise in your hearts?” | | |
| | | 39.look at my hands & my feet that it is I myself handle me & see for a spirit has not flesh & bones as you see me have” | | |
| | | 40.& when he had thus spoken he showed them his hands & feet | | |
| | | 41.and while they yet believed not for joy and wondered, he said unto them,”have you any meat?” | | |
| | | 42. they gave him a piece of broiled fish and of a honeycomb | | |
| | | 43. and he took it and did eat before them | | |
| | | 44. he said to them “these are the words I spoke to you while I was with you that all things must be fulfilled that were written in the law of Moses, in the prophets & in the Psalms concerning me”. | | |
| | | 45. then he opened their understanding that they might understand the scriptures | | |
| | | 46. and said to them “Thus it is written & thus it behoved Christ to suffer and rise from the dead the third day | | |
| | | 47. & that repentance & remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations beginning at Jerusalem | | |
| | | 48. & you are witnesses of these things | | |
| | | 49. behold I send the promise of my Father upon you but tarry ye in Jerusalem till you be endued with power from on high” | | |
| | | 50. & he lead them out as far as to Bethany & lifted up his hands & blessed them | | |
| | | 51. & while he blessed them he was carried up into heaven | | |
| | | 52. & they worshipped him & returned to Jerusalem with great joy | | |
